    Andrea Morris PhD, LCPC

    Executive Director / Therapist


    Andrea Morris earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the Union Institute and University, and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Andrea’s bachelor’s degree is from Brandeis University, in Psychology and African-American Studies.

    She has studied in Jerusalem. Her professional experiences include work in an outpatient trauma-based psychiatric day hospital unit, an outpatient substance abuse treatment center, an addictions                             unit in a correctional treatment center, counseling through agencies, and as a trauma specialist.

                                She works with individuals, couples and families. Andrea is knowledgeable about traumatic issues                             regarding men and women as well as their spiritual and relationship issues.

    Howard Hines PhD

    Therapist


    Howard Hines graduated from the University of Maryland with a Ph.D. in 1983, and from Morgan State College in 1973 with a B.A. degree. He is a Licensed Psychologist.

    His experience includes work in hospital settings, college settings, correctional settings, private practice, group home settings, and team supervision. He does individual, couple and family psychotherapy with adolescents and adults, and he has provided professional supervision for fellow staff members in a variety of settings.

    His specialty areas include couple counseling, domestic violence (working with abusers), He has led                                workshops addressing anger management with a local professional sports team, sexual issues, family                             counseling, depressive disorders and adolescent behavior problems. Dr. Hines has a desire to provide                             a confidential environment in which pastors, ministers, church leaders and others can utilize                             counseling services in their time of need.


    Janice Sams MSW, LCSW-C

    Counselor


    Janice Sams received her Master of Social Work degree from Adelphi University in New York. She has an in-depth background as a psychotherapist, having worked in the inner-city, urban and suburban locations, in medical and psychiatric hospitals, private group practice, community-based clinics and government mental health settings.

    In addition, she has served as a consultant to Head Start, and as a volunteer in the public school system. Janice serves individuals, couples and families and is knowledgeable of women’s spiritual and                             relationship issues, as well as diverse emotional and mental disorders.
